Psychological Therapy and Clinical Psychology Supervision
Carolyn is a clinical psychologist and board approved clinical psychology supervisor registered with APHRA.
Psychological therapy is available to adult clients (aged 26+) with a range of concerns. Carolyn has a particular interest in assisting people who have experienced trauma, abuse or neglect. An additional area of interest is in supporting clients with chronic medical conditions (including chronic pain).
In terms of training, Carolyn completed a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) before commencing work as a psychologist in 2014. She has worked in a number of settings including psychiatric hospitals, medical hospitals, rehabilitation services, public mental health services, academic research and teaching.
Carolyn is passionate about providing evidence-based, collaborative and effective psychological therapy and in creating a therapeutic relationship where her clients feel safe, respected and empowered.
Specific types of psychological therapy that are available include: schema therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), pain management psychology, acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Carolyn is an accredited EMDR practitioner with EMDRAA.
Carolyn does not provide treatment for people under the age of 26 years, couples or family therapy, assessments or reports for legal matters (including family court), mandated therapy under corrections orders, or provide therapy to clients funded by NDIS or TAC.
